Safeguarding Policy

How Fitrah Revival protects your dignity, confidentiality and safety throughout every coaching relationship.

Fitrah Revival is committed to providing a safe, confidential and dignified coaching environment for every brother who reaches out. This policy explains how I protect your wellbeing, respect your boundaries, and respond when additional support may be needed.

Purpose and scope

This policy applies to all coaching sessions, consultations, email correspondence and any other contact between you and Fitrah Revival. Its purpose is to make sure you feel safe, heard and respected while clearly stating the limits of what coaching can provide.

Confidentiality

What you share in coaching stays private. Notes are kept securely, sessions are not recorded without explicit consent, and your identity is never disclosed to third parties. The only exceptions are when you give permission, or when there is a genuine concern that you or someone else may be at serious risk of harm.

Professional boundaries

Coaching supports behaviour change, accountability and spiritual growth. It is not counselling, psychotherapy or medical treatment. If your needs go beyond the scope of coaching — for example severe mental-health symptoms, active suicidal thoughts, or unresolved trauma — I will be honest about that and help you find appropriate professional or clinical support.

Risk and safeguarding

If you disclose something that suggests you or another person is at risk of significant harm, I may need to break confidentiality and contact the relevant emergency services or safeguarding authority. This will be done with care, proportionally and, wherever possible, with your knowledge.

Referrals and signposting

When coaching is not enough, I will encourage you to access further help. This may include your GP, local mental-health services, addiction specialists, a trusted imam or scholar, or national helplines. You are always free to accept or decline a referral.

Record keeping and data

Any notes kept are minimal, stored securely and only used to support our work together. You can request to see what is held about you, correct inaccuracies, or ask for records to be deleted, subject to any legal obligations that require them to be kept.

Complaints and feedback

If you ever feel uncomfortable, unheard or concerned about how you have been treated, please raise it directly. Every concern is taken seriously and will be responded to promptly and fairly. If we cannot resolve the matter together, you may seek advice from an appropriate professional body or regulator.
